Instant's first product, Instant TeamMessenger, is the industry’s first integration product to seamlessly combine IBM Lotus Instant Messenger ("Sametime") corporate instant messaging technology into the Microsoft Outlook e-mail platform. IBM Lotus Instant Messenger ("Sametime") is the market leader in corporate instant messaging, with 10 million subscribers, while Microsoft Outlook is one of the world’s leading e-mail programs, with 65 million users. Instant's latest offering, Instant Agent Frameworktm, allows corporations that use IBM Lotus Instant Messaging software to quickly build and run automated agents ("BOTS") that perform common tasks from within an instant messaging conversation. Using Instant Agent Framework, IT departments can build and run agents that will draw data from a wide variety of storage formats, such as those used by Microsoft, IBM, and SAP R/3. Bridged together these two products, MS Outlook and IBM Instant Messenger ("Sametime") become the most powerful real time collaboration solution in the market today.
Rune Carlsen, Senior Consultant at Concrea, an IBM Company, remarked when hearing of the Award presentation to Instant Technologies, “ Instant Team Messenger is an outstanding application which seamlessly integrates Microsoft Outlook with IBM Lotus Sametime. We have found it increases response time, reduces email threads, as well as tracks and organizes all instant messaging input. By doing so, it significantly speeds decision-making. Concrea’s customers know their businesses, processes and demands. They demand that technology eliminate wasted cycles at work. Instant Team Messenger does this in a simple and very innovative manner. I am not surprised they won the Rising Star Beacon Award!!”
Instant Technologies has been one of IBM's most visible partners in this market space, with it ground breaking work in bridging IBM Instant Messaging Technologies with Microsoft’ Office suite of products.
"We are very pleased to receive such recognition from IBM. With IBM Lotus Instant Messenger (Sametime), IBM invented the business instant messaging market. Today, they are, by any metric, the undisputed market leader. For them to publicly state through this award that we are the “Rising Star” in this software application market means a great deal to us. By summer, we will have IBM Lotus Instant Messenger intelligently integrated into the entire Microsoft Office offering. That is the kind of real time collaboration our customers are asking for, ” said Tim Browne, CEO of Instant Technologies.
