Instant Technologies Honored with Prestigious IBM Lotus Award

Instant Agent Framework Named Best Tool/Utility Solution

Instant Technologies today announced that it has been awarded the IBM Lotus Award in the Best Tool/Utility category for the tenth annual IBM Lotus Awards (formerly known as the Lotus Beacon Awards). IBM Lotus Awards recognize exceptional IBM PartnerWorld business partners that specialize in Lotus software solutions and have excelled at providing quality products, innovative solutions and superior services to customers.

Instant Agent Framework (IAF) for IBM Lotus Instant Messaging from Instant Technologies allows companies to offer Lotus Instant Messaging users with self-service access to information stored in their corporate databases and directories. IAF lets developers rapidly create "bots" capable of accessing a wide range of data sources. Users can quickly get answers delivered to them through a variety of interfaces, including Lotus Notes, IBM Lotus Workplace, WebSphere Portal and mobile devices. IAF not only has helped companies improve employee satisfaction with IT, it reduces the burden on various departments continually deluged with information requests.

"To be honored for the second year running by IBM is a great feeling" said Carl Tyler, Chief Technology Officer of Instant Technologies. "Receiving this award from IBM for our powerful Instant Messaging solution is great recognition of our leadership role in building robust and scalable Enterprise Instant Messaging solutions for our customers."

Located in Beverly, MA, Instant Technologies ( is a privately held software company dedicated to extending the software functionality commonly associated with real-time, collaborative ("RTC") technologies. Instant is the 2003 IBM Lotus Beacon Award Winner and winner of the e-Pro Magazine readers choice Apex Award.
