INSTANT TECHNOLOGIES EXPANDS CAPABILITY OF INSTANT AGENT FRAMEWORK™ 2.0 TO SUPPORT MICROSOFT AND ORACLE
Beverly, MA. June 9, 2003 -- Instant Technologies today announced the immediate availability of Instant Agent Framework 2.0, expanding the product’s capability to support market leading database products, such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle9i and IBM’s DB2, while significantly enhancing its existing support for Lotus Domino. The Instant Agent Framework allows users of IBM Lotus Instant Messaging™ software ("Lotus Sametime™") to create Instant Agent “bots” that perform common database queries from within their instant messaging environment.
Using Instant Agent Framework 2.0 IT departments can quickly and easily create queries that live in the “buddy lists” of IBM Lotus Instant Messaging™ users. Users simply click on the Instant Agent as they would any other buddy to access the information. Ideal for commonplace tasks such as address or telephone look-up, Instant Agent Framework allows IT departments to create as many different agents as they need to meet the unique requirements of their business, all without Java or any other programming expertise.
